Building a Better Democracy in 2029

Our longer-term agenda is to establish a democratic system in which the government prioritizes the needs of workers and families. This requires a number of important revisions to our legacy democratic system. We believe that our ability to introduce these changes will depend on three key steps:

• Developing a widely shared understanding of how our legacy democracy has failed us, and how it needs to change

• Electing representatives committed to promoting the changes that we believe are most essential

• Building a broad-based popular movement that holds our elected representatives accountable for making the changes we need
