Current Activities

Our top priority leading up to the November midterm elections is to prevent the current administration from continuing to consolidate unilateral power. Our second priority is to promote pro-democracy outcomes on key California ballot measures. In general, our focus is on close races where every contribution has the potential to shift the outcome. We are working to make a difference both with our own direct contributions and by recruiting others to contribute as well.

We are prioritizing three distinct areas of involvement:

• Candidates for U.S. Congress in CA-13 and CA-22. These are two highly competitive districts in the Central Valley. The incumbent Democrat in CA-13 is facing a strong challenge, and the incumbent Republican in CA-22 is facing an Indivisible-endorsed Democratic challenger. We are collaborating with other Santa Cruz County Indivisible groups to support the Democratic candidates in CA-13 and CA-22 via fundraising, post-carding, and phone-banking.

• Candidates for U.S. Senate in other states. We are engaging in fundraising, post-carding, and phone-banking. Click here to view our list.

We are also tabling at Farmers’ Markets and getting out our messages via local print media.

In addition, we are encouraging other people to join us in working to Get Out The Vote.
