There is one specific form of door-knocking that has been shown to be twice as effective as standard canvassing. This is “Neighbor To Neighbor” where you visit a handful of households in your area, a few blocks from where you live. Unsurprisingly, people are more receptive to door-knocking from nearby members of their community than from outsiders.
